Session 1: The First 100 Days and Beyond - What to Expect from the Trump Administration and the 119th Congress
Presented by Ed Gilroy, Chief Advocacy and Public Affairs Officer, American Trucking Associations
A radically different political landscape unfolded in the nation’s capital this year. ATA’s Chief Advocacy & Public Affairs Officer Ed Gilroy will lead an in-depth discussion on how our federation is fully prepared to capitalize on opportunities to advance the trucking industry’s priorities within the Trump Administration and the 119th Congress. Over the next two years, legislative activity is expected to accelerate on key issues ranging from taxes and tariffs to energy, environment, labor and infrastructure. As these issues are debated, ATA will have a seat at the table and will partner with state trucking associations and congressional champions to ensure that trucking’s perspective is paramount.
